LIMBANG: Pesta Makan Tahun Kedayan Limbang 2024 will be held over three days from Aug 2 at Kampung Tegarai here.
According to Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahman Ismail,various activities have been lined up for the visitors, particularly related to the traditions and culture of the Kedayan community.
“This festival is one of the events in the calendar of the main celebration committee of Limbang District and is also supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts.
“The primary purpose of this festival is to highlight the culture of the Kedayan community in Limbang District, secondly to attract visitors to our district, and thirdly to provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to do business,” he said.
He said this after visiting the festival site at Kampung Tegarai and Dewan Pusat Latihan Pertanian Kubong, here recently.
The festival is expected to be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Aug 4.
