KUCHING: A local man sustained leg injuries after slipping and falling at a riverbank near a condominium along Jalan Petanak last night (Aug 10).
Firefighters from Padungan station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 7.20pm.
Upon arrival, they confirmed that the 45-year-old victim, who was semi-conscious, had fallen at the riverbank.
The team rescued the victim from the riverbank by carrying him on a basket stretcher.
He was later handed over to the paramedics for on-site treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 7.50pm.
