KUCHING: Kuching City FC duo, Jimmy Raymond and Danial Amier, have been selected to represent Malaysia in the 2024 Mitsubishi Electric ASEAN Cup.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced the 26-man squad recently with head coach Pau Marti naming the pair in his final selection. Right-back Jimmy, a Bintulu native, has been a stalwart for the Cats.

The 28-year-old’s powerful overlapping runs and defensive solidity have been instrumental under head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak.

Midfielder Danial Amier, currently on loan from Johor Darul Ta’zim, was second to none.

The 27-year-old Kuala Lumpurborn playmaker has been a key figure in Kuching City’s strong performance in the Malaysian Super League, where they currently sit in 5th place.

Both players have earned their national call-ups through consistent performances for their club.
