Following the success of its first Ramadan buffet last year, Nyonya Kitchen By Sonia is returning for the second year from March 2 to 29, 2025.
This time, the restaurant is expanding its capacity to accommodate 230 customers, up from last year’s 130, due to an overwhelming response.
Shannen Lee, the person in charge of Nyonya Kitchen, shared that Ramadan is a time for togetherness, and Nyonya Kitchen aims to provide a warm and inviting space for diners to break their fast.

“Ramadan is an important month for a lot of people, plus, we had Chinese New Year packages before, so I think we should do it for this (Ramadan) too.
“Last year, we received overwhelming responses, so, this year, we’re increasing our seating capacity by setting up additional tents next to the restaurant so more people can enjoy the buffet”, she said.
New to this year’s buffet are live food stations, featuring roti canai, a dessert booth, and a Lok Lok station, adding an interactive touch to the dining experience.
For the menu, it will rotate weekly, for the returning customers to experience a variety of dishes throughout Ramadan.
“We want to keep it exciting, so every week we’ll have different main dishes.
“This way, customers who visit multiple times with family and friends will always have something new to enjoy”, she added.
After receiving its halal certification in August, Nyonya Kitchen has taken extra steps to ensure a Muslim-friendly dining experience, sourcing all ingredients from halal-certified suppliers.
The restaurant also has a strict no-takeaway policy to prevent food wastage, aligning with the values of Ramadan.
“We want customers to enjoy their meals here with loved ones.
“If we allowed takeaways, it could lead to unnecessary food waste, and that’s something we want to avoid”, she said.
The buffet is priced at RM80 for adults and RM40 for senior citizens and children.
However, an early bird promotion is available from February 20 to March 16, offering discounted prices at RM65 for adults and RM30 for senior citizens and children.
With the hashtag tagline “Sungkey Sitok di Nyonya Kitchen”, the restaurant invites everyone to experience an evening of delicious food and warm hospitality this Ramadan.
