KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Aviation Group’s (MAG) MAB Academy has earned accreditation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CompetencyBased Training and Assessment (CBTA) Centre to certify Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) courses.

This certification enhances MAB Academy’s standing as a leading aviation training provider, ensuring professionals are trained to handle dangerous goods per international safety standards. MAB Academy will now be featured in the IATA CBTA Certified Companies Registry and in the 67th edition of the IATA DGR Manual (2026). MAB Academy COO Aida Salfaraz Ahmad Fadzil highlighted that the approval reinforces the academy’s credibility and commitment to providing industry-leading training.

The academy also integrates extended reality (XR) technology into its DGR courses, offering an interactive learning experience. IATA’s Regional VP for North Asia and Asia Pacific, Xie Xingquan, praised the initiative for enhancing Malaysia Airlines and MAG’s commitment to improving operational safety and workforce competence. – BERNAMA
