KUCHING: Seven innovative businesses have been chosen to participate in the 12-month SEHebat Catalyst 2025 programme organised by Yayasan Hasanah and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC).

The participants recently completed the first phase of the programme, ‘Foundation Building,’ which involved a three-day intensive boot camp at the Kuching Community Social Support Centre (CSSC) from Feb 18 to 20, with the objective to equip them with the knowledge and resources needed to enhance their projects in the years ahead.

The participants gained insights into best project design and management practices, peer collaboration, resource sharing, proposal writing, impact measurement tools and frameworks, financial planning, and fostering a strong peer support network.

The SEHebat Catalyst programme is designed to provide customised business support to impactful businesses and social enterprises in Sarawak through mentorship, facilitated partnerships, industry and market access, and digitalisation assistance.

In addition, selected projects receive grants from the Ministry of Finance through Yayasan Hasanah to further enhance their impact-driven initiatives.

Beyond business support, the programme aims to nurture local talent, strengthen the capacity of Sarawak entrepreneurs, and empower them to drive positive social and environmental change within their communities.

By fostering innovative business models, SEHebat Catalyst directly contributes to Sarawak’s PCDS 2030 goals: economic prosperity, social inclusivity, and environmental sustainability.

The chosen social enterprises include Signs and Wonders Sdn Bhd, Heart Treasures Sdn Bhd, H.M Success Company, Landik PLT, Teduh Jiwa Counseling and Consultancy, Borsa Food Sdn Bhd, and Illustrato Studio.

Agencies and organisations interested in collaborating with these social enterprises to support their social and environmental missions across Sarawak can reach out via email at ied@sdec.com.my.
