KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has called on Muslims to make early preparations to ensure a smooth observance of the holy month of Ramadan.
He made the remark after he and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, visited a local grocery store to purchase essential household supplies.
The visit was part of their preparations for the month of Ramadan.
Wan Junaidi also shared that personally shopping for groceries provides a sense of satisfaction and allows for the careful selection of items suited to the family’s needs.
Meanwhile, Muslims across the country begin fasting today, March 2.
Earlier, the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad announced that the start of the fasting month for all states in Malaysia has been set in accordance with the command of the King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, following the consent of Their Royal Highnesses, the Rulers.
