KUCHING: Women play a variety of crucial roles as the pillars of families, drivers of progress, and sources of strength within communities, says Head of Sarawak State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
In his message in conjunction with International Women’s Day today, Tun Wan Junaidi, together with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, extended their heartfelt wishes to all women, especially those in Sarawak, on this auspicious occasion.
Tun Wan Junaidi expressed his deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of women across various fields, from education to leadership, which have made the world more prosperous and meaningful.
“Every effort, sacrifice and perseverance of women should be continuously appreciated and supported,” he said.
The Governor also encouraged women to continue advancing with confidence, ensure that they are given equal opportunities, and play a more pivotal role in their respective fields to shape a brighter future for all.
