BINTULU: Bintulu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing recently donated dates and cash to 22 mosques and 27 prayer halls in the Bintulu parliamentary constituency in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.

It is part of Tiong’s annual tradition during the holy month.

The donations aimed to support mosques and prayer halls in organising various religious activities throughout the blessed month, including Iftar gatherings, ‘Tarawih’ prayers, and community welfare programmes.

According to Tiong, this initiative reflects his support for efforts to strengthen unity and harmony among Bintulu’s multiracial community.

“I hope this contribution will be beneficial in enhancing the spirit of Ramadan and fostering stronger ties among the residents,” he said.

Representatives from the mosques and prayer halls thanked the Bintulu MP for his generosity and concern.
