LIMBANG: Two local men were injured after their car skidded and crashed into a tree near Kampung Nauran late last night (Apr 7).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Limbang station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call at 11.46 pm.

They found the 27-year-old driver trapped inside the vehicle and had to extricate him using a stretcher. His 36-year-old passenger was rescued earlier by members of the public.

The driver suffered a broken leg, while the passenger sustained minor injuries.

Both victims were handed over to paramedics for preliminary treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical care.

The rescue operation ended at 12.20 am.
