KUCHING: A buzz of excitement and inspiration filled the halls of the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Thursday (April 17), as crowds gathered for the Home Living Expo 2025, a showcase of modern living, interior design innovation, and home improvement solutions under one roof.
Drawing homeowners, design enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike, the expo brought together local and international brands, offering everything from smart appliances to minimalist furniture pieces.
The event aims to promote better living through practical yet stylish home solutions, while supporting local or global businesses in the home and lifestyle industries.
Sarawak Tribune spoke with several attendees, who shared the purpose of their attendance, specific items they are interested in, and if it is their first time attending the expo.

I came to the expo here today to find household appliances, like furniture, and electronics. I am also here because the price here is much cheaper compared to other stores. I am particularly looking for bed frames, TV, washing machines, and refrigerator. This is my third time coming to this expo. I came here from Miri to look for home appliances for one of my children’s new house.

I came here to look at electronics like TV, and kitchen appliances because at this expo, there is a lot of promotion, so I love to go to these expo. I go to this expo every year and I am planning to buy home appliances to upgrade the ones at home since my house is undergoing renovations. As for now, I have yet to find items that caught my eye, so I am going to explore this expo further.

I came to the expo here today to find new sofa to replace our sofa at home because we have used the same sofa for the past 10 years. So, we thought it was time to replace it. This is my first time coming to this expo, and I realised the prices here are much cheaper than other furniture stores I have been to. The items here in the expo are all remarkably interesting so I came here just to upgrade my home furnitures.

I came to the expo here today to survey home appliances, especially kitchen appliances like blender, washing machine and dryer. I am also looking for new furnitures like sofa. This is my first time going to an expo like this. For now, I found a sofa that I like but I need a few days to think it over before purchasing it. I have a second house that I am planning to give to my children, so I am looking for home appliances for the house.
