SIBU: The Sibu Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre will be organising a subsidised fertiliser distribution event on April 26, offering a total of 500 bags of fertiliser at Lot 1327, Lorong 14F, 4A Jalan Ding Lik Kwong here, commencing at 7.30 am.
According to Sibu Member of Parliament, Oscar Ling Chai Yew, each bag, originally priced at RM200, will be sold at a subsidised price of RM130.
“The fertiliser brand is YaraMila 15/15/15 Star King Green. Each bag weighs 50kg.
“The total number is limited to 500 bags, available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
“Each person is limited to one bag, and only cash payments are accepted,” he said on Wednesday.
He pointed out that the event’s purpose is to ease the financial burden of farmers and demonstrate Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) solidarity with the people through concrete actions.
“Buyers must bring their MyKad (identity card) during registration, and must be present in person – no representatives allowed.
“The fertiliser subsidy is only open to registered voters in the Sibu parliamentary constituency who are 18 years old and above.
“A special ‘DAP Squad’ will be deployed to assist during the event. Buyers do not need to get out of their vehicles for registration – the squad will approach each vehicle to register the buyer and provide a number.
“Staff will then assist in loading the fertiliser into the vehicles,” Ling added.
