MANCHESTER CITY: Housing Development Corporation (HDC) officials paid a courtesy call on the Lord Mayor of Manchester Paul Andrews as part of effort to strengthen ties with the city.

The visit, which took place at the Lord Mayor’s Suite, Central Library, St Peter’s Square recently, saw the delegation, led by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian being briefed on Manchester City’s Council’s structure and city police services.

“The session provided an overview of the council’s initiatives, strategies and priorities for urban governance and development.

The courtesy call served as a platform to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore potential areas of collaboration between the delegation and Manchester’s leadership,” the corporation said in a statement.

The visit forms part of the delegation’s broader efforts to learn from global best practices and strengthen international partnerships.
