KUCHING: A temporary road diversion will be implemented along Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin beginning Friday (May 16) to facilitate ongoing construction works in the area.
The diversion, which forms part of Stage Three of the underpass construction project, will be in effect until March 5, 2026.
The overall construction contract is currently running from July 15, 2024 to July 14, 2026.
In a notice that it issued, the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) advised road users to exercise caution and comply with all traffic management instructions throughout the duration of the works.
The safety of all motorists remains a key priority.
“The contractor will issue updates from time to time should there be any changes in the timeline, schedule or scope of the affected areas.
“Road users are also encouraged to plan their travel routes accordingly to avoid possible congestion in the construction zone.
“We apologised for any inconvenience caused and assured that efforts will be made to minimise disruption to the public,” it said.
