KUCHING: Baram FC delivered a thumping 10-1 victory over Stone Kalo but for manager, Spanski Steven, the result was more than just numbers; it was a triumph of unity, discipline, and unwavering community support.

Spanski who also serves as club president, expressed his pride in the team’s spirit and resilience, noting that the result reflected the players’ dedication and collective effort.

“Thank you – yes, we are truly grateful for this result. But more than the scoreline, we are proud of the team’s hard work, unity, and discipline.

“Every player gave their all, and it was a performance built on spirit and togetherness,” he told Sarawak Tribune when contacted.

Spanski also acknowledged the commendable fighting spirit of Stone Kalo, praising their determination until the final whistle.

“Credit must go to the Stone Kalo team for their incredible spirit. They never gave up, and that kind of resilience is what makes football so meaningful.

“Today was our day, but we remain humble and focused, knowing that every match is a lesson,” he added.

He dedicated the win to Baram FC’s loyal supporters.

“This win is not just ours, it belongs to everyone who has stood by Baram FC through thick and thin.

“Your support drives us forward. It’s a small but meaningful step, and while there is still a long journey ahead, we give thanks and keep our eyes on the future,” he said.

The win adds momentum to Baram FC’s campaign, as they continue to grow both on and off the pitch, with a focus on long-term development and community engagement.

Currently third in their group, Baram FC will face D Markas after the Gawai break on June 21 at Bintulu Stadium in the Bintulu League.
