KUCHING: In celebration of the 2025 Harvest Festival, TVS is rolling out a line-up of special programmes and events that spotlight the rich traditions, people, and pride of East Malaysia.

According to the statement from TVS, the initiative, developed in collaboration with Pepsi, aims to honour Gawai and Kaamatan while uniting Malaysians through cultural celebration.

At the core of the campaign is the newly remixed anthem “Happy Gawai Kaamatan – Remix”, featuring renowned Bornean artist Belle Sisoski, Sabah’s Marygrace, and Sarawak’s Rezza Shah.

“Originally composed by Ramles Walter with Kadazandusun translation by Dabra Sia, the song takes on a new life under Sisoski’s creative direction, blending ancestral sounds with contemporary beats to celebrate Bornean identity across generations,” it said.

The campaign also incorporates traditional Rungus and Pua Kumbu motifs, featured prominently on limited-edition Pepsi cans and in exclusive retail promotions, a visual tribute to East Malaysia’s heritage.

As part of the campaign, TVS proudly brings back Mimpanau Kaamatan Sabah Season 2, airing from 27th to 31st May on TVS Channel 122. Hosted by Jasmine Suraya, Wenanita Angang, and Khairil Zharif, the programme will offer immersive storytelling, travel vlogs, live music, cultural segments, and food features across Sabah and Sarawak.

Highlights include coverage of the Kaamatan Festival’s official opening by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Grand Unduk Ngadau Finale, as well as new features showcasing Betong’s Gawai festivities and the Irau Aco Festival in Lawas.

The show will air nightly at 9:30 pm from 27 to 29 May, with one-hour special live broadcasts on 30 to 31 May.
To cap off the celebrations, Konsert Berkat Gawai – Kaamatan will be broadcasted nationwide on 31 May at 9:00 pm. Filmed live at Miri Indoor Stadium, the concert was one of the most anticipated events of the Harvest Festival season.

Headlined by Malaysia’s rock queen Ella, the concert also featured beloved artists such as Bob Yusof, Ramles Walter, Dabra Sia, Velvet Aduk, Roxy Ixzy, SMDX, and Marina Jara from Kalimantan. The electrifying performances ranged from powerful rock anthems to soulful indigenous melodies, celebrating the shared heritage of Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei, and Kalimantan.

With a powerful mix of music, storytelling, and cultural showcases, TVS and Pepsi’s 2025 Harvest Festival campaign stands as a vibrant tribute to East Malaysia’s unique identity and an invitation for all Malaysians to celebrate it together.
