KUCHING: Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) is set to electrify the stage at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) with the SUARA 34 Sarawak Zone Concert, this Saturday (June 26) at 9:00 pm.
In a press release, RTM said the star-studded concert will take place at the Arena Gemilang, DeTAR Putra and feature dynamic performances by renowned local artistes including Liza Aziz, Rahmad Mega, Tomok, Bob Yusof, Zizi Kirana, Azie, and the group Roxy Ixzy.
Hosting the event are familiar voices from SARAWAKfm, namely Fiza Frizzy, Arm Amran, and DJ Lynn.
“Jointly organised with strategic partners the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts and UNIMAS, the concert reflects a shared commitment to nurturing the creative and cultural industry.
“SUARA 34 is an extension of the ongoing SUARA 34 programme aired live every weekend across all RTM radio stations and on RTM’s official Facebook page.
“The initiative aims to ignite unity within the broadcasting community while reinforcing the identity and reach of RTM’s 34 radio stations nationwide,” it said.
It also added that Sarawak marks the fifth stop in the concert series following successful editions in Johor, Sabah, Perak and Pahang.
The finale is scheduled to take place at Angkasapuri Kota Media in Kuala Lumpur on July 5.
“Audiences can catch the live broadcast of the concert via TV2, RTMKlik, and all RTM radio channels in Sarawak, including SARAWAKfm, WAIfm, REDfm, SRI AMANfm, SIBUfm, BINTULUfm, MIRIfm and LIMBANGfm,” it said.
A livestream will also be available on SARAWAKfm’s official Facebook page starting at 9 pm.
In conjunction with the concert, the RTM Sarawak DJ Corner will take place on June 27 and 28, highlighting RTM radio announcers from various local language segments.
RTM added a special exhibition featuring past guests of the SUARA 34 programme will be held on June 28 to add to the concert’s attractions.
