KUCHING: Machan FC has bolstered its squad with key foreign signings ahead of the 2025/2026 A1 Semi-Pro League season, strengthening both its attack and defence in a bid to remain competitive.

Currently in Melaka, the Sarawak-origin club has welcomed three international players — John Kennedy Xavier Da Costa, a forward from Brazil, along with two South Koreans: midfielder Jonghyun Kim and centre-back Seungwon Jun.

“This season, Machan FC is reinforced by three imports from Brazil and South Korea.

“We hope their presence will inject the right momentum into those key positions,” said club president Azizie Fauzi when contacted recently.

In addition to the international trio, the team features a mix of experienced local players and talented young prospects, offering versatility and depth across the pitch.

Azizie said that while Machan FC will enter the season without setting any specific targets, the focus will be on consistency and effort in every match.

“We’re coming in as underdogs, but we’ll work hard to challenge every opponent we face,” he added.

Machan FC hopes to build momentum gradually, trusting that their blend of local talent and international players will bring results.
