KUALA LUMPUR: FedEx Malaysia has secured two prestigious titles at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025, reinforcing its position as a corporate leader in both community engagement and environmental stewardship.

The company was named Company of the Year in two categories, Heart of Service and Long-Standing Excellence, marking its fifth recognition since 2020 for exemplary corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.

FedEx Malaysia Managing Director, Woon Tien Long, expressed pride in receiving the Heart of Service award for the first time, calling the recognition an honour for the company.

The accolades acknowledge FedEx Malaysia’s impactful programmes under FedEx Cares, the company’s global CSR initiative aimed at connecting people and possibilities through volunteerism, in-kind shipping, and charitable giving.

Among its key initiatives, FedEx Malaysia continues to empower youth through the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC).

In support of food security and environmental sustainability, FedEx has partnered with Treat Every Environment Special (TrEES) to support a community vegetable garden in the Klang Valley, which produces approximately 700 meals per month for underserved communities, making a direct impact on local food access.

Additionally, through the FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign, employees collected 107 kilogrammes of food, toiletries and school supplies for the Shelter Home for Children, extending care and support to vulnerable youth in need.

“Our volunteers are the heart of these efforts, and their passion continues to make a real difference on the ground,” Woon added.

In the sustainability space, FedEx piloted Malaysia’s first cross-border electric vehicle (EV) delivery from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, avoiding an estimated 100 kilogrammes of CO2 emissions.

The feat was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the ‘First Zero Emission Cross-Border Delivery’, aligning with FedEx’s global goal of achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2040.

The Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards evaluate companies based on their CSR vision, programme impact, transparency and sincerity, rewarding those that drive real socio-economic transformation.
