KUCHING: A non-governmental organisation (NGO) here had lodged a police report against a Facebook account holder using the moniker Chimung Konzaki Aluing for posting demeaning and insulting comments about Dayaks.
A spokesperson of Dayak Rights Action Force (DRAF) Bau Division, Lawrane Gamjap said the posting was deemed to be racial in nature as it insinuated that the Dayaks are inferior.
“We demand that the account holder make a public apology to the Dayak communities in Sarawak. This public apology must be published in all major newspapers for three consecutive days to show her sincerity,” she said.
Lawrane also urged the police to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.
