KUCHING: Aspiring futsal referees now have the chance to kickstart their officiating careers with Gol Brasil’s prestigious Black Badge certification.
In a major initiative to develop local and international refereeing talent, ReffCo, in collaboration with VF Global, is hosting the Gol Brasil Black Badge Basic Futsal Referee Course this coming August 30 (Saturday) and August 31 (Sunday).
In a statement issued by VF Global today stated that the course is open to all, whether a seasoned official or taking their first steps into the world of refereeing.
“Participants will receive intensive two-day training under the guidance of experienced Gol Brasil instructors, with sessions beginning at 8:30 am daily at Arena Futsal, Taman Lee Ling, Matang.
“For a registration fee of RM200 with a RM50 deposit to secure a spot, participants will receive an official course t-shirt, course materials and e-certificate of participation,” the statement read.
The statement added that those who pass the written and practical assessments will be awarded the official Gol Brasil Black Badge Referee Licence, including a referee logbook and physical certification card, during the closing ceremony.
“This is more than just a course; it’s the first step toward officiating in both local and international futsal tournaments.
“Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on your chance to wear the badge and blow the whistle on the big stage,” the statement said.
