KUCHING: Jwendy Joshua has retained the prestigious ‘Champion of Champions’ title at Mr Kuching 2025, cementing his status as Sarawak’s top bodybuilder.

The 37-year-old Salako from Lundu showcased peak conditioning at the Sarawak Youth and Sports Complex, edging out winners from three other categories to claim the coveted ‘Solomon’s Cup’ trophy and a RM500 cash prize.

Jwendy also won the Men’s Bodybuilding Above 75kg category, while Mohd Shebli Tuah and William Hii Hiong Nang placed second and third respectively, rounding out a competitive field.

Jwendy, who works as a personal trainer at Ultimate Fitness, credited his rigorous training regimen and consistent discipline for his success.

“I am very happy with my effort. I trained really hard. I took care of my diet and made sure I was consistent leading up to this championship,” he told reporters after the event yesterday (Aug 9).

Jwendy started bodybuilding in 2019 and only began participating in championships in 2022, where he placed second, third, or fourth.

When asked whether he would participate in Mr Sarawak, he said he would consider it depending on the situation.

He also noted that he participated in Mr Keling Borneo earlier this year.

Also in attendance to witness the event was Sarawak Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) president Datuk Wee Hong Seng.
