KUCHING: The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sarawak Branch successfully defended their futsal crown at the 2025 Inter-Professional Games (IPG), completing an unbeaten campaign at Arena Sukan here on Saturday.

Led by team captain Razmi Mohammad Omar and organising captain, Ir Justin Yii Huong Swee, the defending champions began their title defence with a 1-1 draw against Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM).

The result proved to be their only slip, as they went on to register five consecutive victories, securing the top spot in the standings.

PAM settled for second place, while the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) finished third.

The annual IPG Games bring together professionals from various fields in the spirit of sportsmanship and friendly rivalry.

This year’s edition will continue with golf on August 17, bowling on August 24, and badminton from Septenber 20-21.
