KUCHING: Kuching Football Association (Kuching FA) is opening its doors to fresh talent as it kicks off player selections for the 2025 season from August 18 to 20 at Padang KDFA, Sourabaya, here.
Open to players aged 18 and above, the trials will start at 7:3 0pm each night, offering aspiring footballers a platform to showcase their skills and secure a spot in the team.
The initiative reflects Kuching FA’s commitment towards strengthening its squad and providing opportunities for local talents to shine in the Sarawak Premier League.
With the new campaign approaching, the selection is expected to draw strong interest from football enthusiasts eager to compete at a higher level.
Kuching City FC posted the matter on its Facebook page, inviting players to participate in the selection.
Earlier, Sarawak Football Association (FAS) President, Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, outlined the ongoing preparations for the league, which is set to reignite competitive football across Sarawak’s divisions.
He said that football fans can expect the Sarawak Premier League to begin by late September, featuring 13 teams divided into northern and southern zones,
“We have informed all the Football Associations (FA) to prepare their teams, and we are finalising the match schedules.
“While we have yet to confirm the exact dates, our target is to kick off by the end of September,” he said.
