SRI AMAN: Delisya X emerged champions in the men’s category while Pusat Khidmat P202 Sri Aman reigned supreme in the women’s division at the Datuk Seri Doris Sophia Brodie Golden Boot Cup, rounding off three days of exciting action.
The men’s final produced a thriller as Delisya X edged Delisya FT 1-0 on penalties after a pulsating 5-5 draw in regulation time.
As champions, Delisya X received RM2,200, a trophy and medals.
Runners-up Delisya FT took home RM1,700, a trophy and medals, while Mix Flat and GM FT settled for joint third place, with each collecting RM900, a trophy and medals.
In the women’s competition, Pusat Khidmat P202 Sri Aman claimed top honours following a strong campaign.
The champions received RM2,200, a trophy and medals.
LSDU finished as runners-up, Avengers secured third place, and WBB 31 placed fourth.
LSDU walked away with RM1,700, a trophy and medals, Avengers earned RM900, a trophy and medals, while WBB 31 took home RM500, a trophy and medals.
The second edition of the tournament brought together 22 teams – 17 men’s and five women’s – competing at the futsal court in RPR Taman Sentosa Indah Futsal court with fans treated to a weekend of spirited competition from Friday (August 15) to Sunday (August 17).
