SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil hailed their resounding victory over PDRM FC in the FA Cup competition but said there is still room for improvement.
He said the 5-0 thrashing of PDRM was a good result but cautioned his squad against getting carried away.
“This is just the beginning. We still have a long way to go, with many things to fix. But it is a good result.
“I believe that given time, we can be even better,” he told reporters after the first-leg match in the Round of 16 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium here on Monday (Aug 18).
He hoped that his team could maintain their consistency and emerge as a squad to reckon with this season.
“I am not fully satisfied; what happened on the pitch and the result we achieved are two different things. I feel we still need to play much better in the future,” he said.
On the upcoming Super League clash against Selangor FC this Sunday, Nidzam said there are still many aspects that need improvement in the few days leading up to the match.
PDRM head coach Eddy Gapil accepted the defeat, saying his side found it difficult to recover after one of their players was sent off in the first half. – BERNAMA
