KUCHING: TVS has taken another step to expand its sports reach through the upcoming Twins Championship 102, as part of its efforts to showcase a wider range of events beyond football and badminton.

The collaboration will see TVS providing coverage of the boxing tournament set to be held at the N9 Arena, Stadium Nilai, Negeri Sembilan this weekend (Aug 30).

SMG/TVS head of channel and traffic Mohd Aizal Ibrahim said the partnership reflects TVS’s growing commitment to diverse sporting content.

“As we know, TVS is already on the right track. Last year, we successfully covered SUKMA, Harimau Malaya’s friendly football match , and badminton events.

“Boxing is not the first sport where we are building an audience, and I don’t see any problem for us to continue collaborating,” he told a press conference today (Aug 25).

Mohd Aizal then hinted on the possibilities of broadcasting more boxing bouts to come.

“Looking ahead, we can certainly raise the level of collaboration for future bouts,” he added,

The Twins Championship 102 features a strong line-up of bouts, including Sarawak-based rising flyweight prospect Mikail ‘Miki’ Ghazali against Misel Sileman, and Daeloniel “Kilat Boy” McDelon Bong’s challenge for the WBC Asia Continental Super Bantamweight Title against Thailand’s Natthawat.
