LONDON: The British government on Sunday confirmed an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry at a site in Exminster, a village in southwestern England, reported Xinhua.
A 3-kilometre (km) protection zone and a 10 km surveillance zone have been set up around the site, said the government, adding that all poultry on the premises will be humanely culled. – BERNAMA-XINHUA
