THE soundtrack for the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” continues to hold a strong position on Billboard’s Hot 100, with several songs remaining in the top 10.
According to Soompi, HUNTR/X, the fictional girl group featured in the film, secured its fourth non-consecutive week at No 1 with the track “Golden” (performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami).
The song also retained the top spot on other Billboard charts, including Streaming Songs, Digital Song Sales, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S.
Other tracks from the soundtrack also charted highly. Saja Boys, the film’s fictional boy group, placed “Your Idol” at No 5 and “Soda Pop” at No 6, while HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done” remained at No 9.
Soompi said “Golden” has matched the record for the second K-pop song to remain at No 1 for four weeks on the Hot 100, after BTS’ “Butter” in 2021.
It also joins the ranks of long-running chart-toppers by all-female groups such as TLC, The Bangles, and The Supremes.
Data from Luminate showed that between Aug 29 and Sept 4, “Golden” gained 34.5 million streams, 22.1 million radio audience impressions, and 9,000 downloads in the United States.
