KUCHING: The highly anticipated Air Supply 50th anniversary celebration show scheduled here tonight has been cancelled.

“We are sorry to let our fans in Malaysia know that the show in Kuching scheduled for Sept 24, 2025 has been cancelled for operational reasons on the part of the promoter.

“We are working to reschedule this event and we will let everyone know when a new date is confirmed.

“Thank you for your understanding,“ the management of Air Supply said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

Local organiser Twig Events also expressed their shock and disappointment.

“We regret to inform you that the Air Supply 50th anniversary celebration in Kuching has been cancelled. We are equally shocked, disappointed, and saddened by this last-minute development.”

Twig Events confirmed that full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders, with processing to begin immediately.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method and are expected to be completed within 14 working days, subject to payment providers.

Detailed refund instructions will be sent directly to purchasers via email.

According to Twig Events, all local arrangements had been finalised following months of planning and coordination.

However, all direct communication with Air Supply’s official management was handled by concert promoter Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn. Bhd.

Twig Events is currently in discussions with the promoter to understand the cause of the cancellation.

“We understand the deep disappointment this causes for fans, partners, and our team, who have invested months of preparation and were looking forward to delivering a memorable concert in Kuching,” Twig Events added.

A press conference will be held soon to address the cancellation and outline the next steps.

Twig Events also apologised to fans and supporters, thanking them for their understanding and continued support for live music in Sarawak.
