KUCHING: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) unveiled its most ambitious showcase yet, a resort-themed showhouse at Precinct Grande, the third phase of its 200-acre La Promenade gated community, one of East Malaysia’s most exclusive developments.
The three-storey duplex, valued at RM3.48 million, spans 4,080 square feet of built-up space and comes with a private home lift, as well as a ground-floor bedroom designed for elderly residents, complete with an en-suite bathroom.
Only 20 homes in this series will be built, with construction now 70 per cent complete and final delivery expected within nine months.
Basic units start from RM2.8 million.
HSL’s Managing Director, Datuk Paul Yu Chee Hoe, described the project as the company’s largest and most detailed showhouse to date.
“Every bedroom is fully dressed, appliances installed, and even mature trees have been pre-grown in our nursery for the last five years.
“We invite visitors to experience these homes set within a park, designed for natural ventilation and peace of mind, with double-gated security and generous private space,” he said.
The project reflects La Promenade’s landscape-first approach, with 17 per cent of open greens and an average density of just 4.7 homes per acre.
Shared gardens, linear parks, and play areas enhance privacy and liveability.
About half a dozen units of the new duplexes were sold during a pre-sales preview for existing buyers and clients.
Renowned architect, David Ong, designed Precinct Grande with a focus on maximising private space.
The third floor of each resort duplex functions as a luxurious private suite, complete with bedroom, study, reading nook, walk-in wardrobe and his-and-hers bathroom, a self-contained retreat of over 1,000 square feet.
Interior design was undertaken by Studio Objects of Affection, led by principal, Amily Voon, who emphasised framing garden views and using furniture tailored to the resort’s character.
Imported pieces, custom joinery, solid merbau timber flooring, and natural stone finishes define the interiors.
According to Tay Chiok Kee, Head of HSL’s Property Department, Precinct Grande will also feature the township’s largest clubhouse, equipped with a 26-metre saltwater pool, gym, and function rooms, exclusively serving its 93 homes.
Three architectural practices, David Ong, MNSC Architects, and IntoDesign Lab, collaborated on the design to create a cohesive yet varied estate.
Meanwhile, HSL is also completing the final block of eight bungalows at the precinct.
Future pipeline developments at La Promenade include a new precinct, townhouses, serviced apartments, a mall extension that will triple the current retail space, and mid-rise office towers.
Recently, HSL hosted its inaugural Property Expo at La Promenade Mall, held in conjunction with the mall’s Oktoberfest and the What About Kuching (WAK!) festival.
The resort duplex showhouse is now open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and guided tours are available by appointment
