KUCHING: Doing laundry just got easier with the latest self-service detergent vending machines by DP Detergent Premium, offering four different fragrances at accessible prices.

The initiative aims to provide the public, particularly residents in Bintawa, Pending, and Tabuan, with an easy and affordable way to purchase detergent for daily use.

Prices start as low as RM1, allowing customers to buy the amount they need conveniently and economically.

Executive Chairman of Bumi Kita, Datuk Paruwadi Musa, said the company is excited to explore new and emerging business concepts that align with current lifestyle trends.

“We see the detergent vending machine business as something fresh and relevant in today’s world.

“It offers convenience, affordability, and accessibility to the community,” he told Sarawak Tribune when met today.

Paruwadi added that the vending machines dispense both liquid and powder detergents in measured quantities, available in four distinct fragrances to suit user preferences.

“Visitors may come to Boon Seng Supermarket, as we aim to provide convenience for residents in Bintawa and Pending, allowing them to enjoy the use of detergent, better known as ‘Omo’, for easy and affordable laundry care,” he said.

DP Detergent Premium also plans to expand its reach to more strategic locations, including Summer Mall, Demak Laut, and Malihah.

Looking ahead, Paruwadi revealed that starting November, Bumi Kita will open franchise opportunities for Sarawakians interested in operating detergent vending machines with minimal startup costs.

“We’ve already placed orders for the machines from Kuala Lumpur and will begin distributing them to those interested in joining this new venture,” he added.

He encouraged residents to visit Boon Seng Supermarket, located next to Seafood Industries, and experience the convenience first-hand.

“To the people of Tabuan, Pending, and Bintawa, come and try it out. Enjoy our four unique fragrances and be part of this modern, self-service innovation,” said Paruwadi.
