KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Athletics (MA) expect to release the names of athletes bound for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand in the first week of November.
MA secretary-general Norhayati Karim said that although they already have a shortlist of the athletes who will be competing in the biennial Games, they still have some aspects that need to be finalised, including who will be going under Categories A and B.
“In addition, the athletes bound for the SEA Games must also pass their medical checkups,” she told a media conference on the 2025 Gender Leadership Seminar and Forum at the MA office here today.
She said the Oct 26 forum and seminar will discuss topics related to the role and participation of women and the challenges they face in sports in Malaysia.
“This programme upholds the recommendations from the Youth and Sports Ministry and WA to empower women in sports,” she added. – BERNAMA
