WASHINGTON: The summit between Russian and US presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will take place, but at a later date said Kirill Dmitriev, Russian special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

“The meeting between President Putin and President Trump will happen, but probably at a later date,” Dmitriev said in an interview with CNN, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

He said the meeting has rather been postponed than cancelled.
