KUCHING: Kuching FA are fully prepared to face the fierce challenge from home side, Samarahan FA, as both teams chase valuable points in a Sarawak Premier League Southern Zone fixture at the Kota Samarahan Sports Complex tomorrow (Saturday, November 1).

The encounter marks the final first-round match for both sides, with each determined to end the stage on a winning note.

Kuching, guided by head coach, Nizam Mahmud Digun, are aware of the intensity that awaits them over the 90 minutes, especially against a Samarahan side backed by passionate home supporters.

Despite the pressure, the visitors remain optimistic about their chances.

Team manager, Sahrul Nizam Ahmad, said the squad’s focus is clear: to bring home all three points.

“Our main goal is simple and is to win the match. We know it won’t be easy considering Samarahan’s home advantage and their experienced players, but our team is ready to give everything,” he told reporters recently.

Sahrul expressed confidence that Nizam and his coaching staff have done all the necessary preparations to ensure the team perform at their best.

“I believe the coach has planned everything in detail. Hopefully, all our strategies will work smoothly tomorrow,” he added.

Saturday’s clash is expected to draw strong local interest, with both teams showing steady improvement throughout the league campaign.

A victory for Kuching could propel them to the top of the Southern Zone standings, overtaking Serian on goal difference.

Meanwhile, a win for Samarahan would lift them into second place, setting the stage for an intense, all-or-nothing showdown.
