KUCHING: The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as parents, teachers, and young learners gathered at Institut Aminuddin Baki for the annual End-of-Year Award Presentation Ceremony for children under the TABIKA KEMAS programme.

Santubong Parliamentary constituency Early Childhood Education assistant officer Nurhidayatul Akbar Yakup expressed her appreciation to all educators, committee members, and parents for their unwavering support and dedication.

“This meaningful ceremony reminds us how important it is to nurture our children, the future heirs of our nation. The strong collaboration between the committee and parents has successfully made this event possible,” she said.

She said this in her speech during the ceremony on Saturday (Nov 1).

“These ceremonies not only recognise the achievements of children but also strengthen the bond between schools and families, ensuring continuous progress and excellence in early education,” she added.

She also highlighted the success of KEMAS Sarawak, which recently held the Alpha Gen Kids Talent Search from October 27–29, 2025, at Penview Inn, Kuching.

“Zone 1 (Kuching Division) emerged as the champion in 10 out of 11 events and will represent Sarawak at the national level in MAEPS, Serdang, Selangor,”she said.

She also congratulated parents who continuously trust and support the TABIKA management in shaping children’s excellence, noting that active parental involvement plays a crucial role in developing confident, capable young learners.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our children who can now read, write, and count confidently. Their success is a reward for all the hard work, perseverance, and guidance given by both educators and parents,” she said.
