MIRI: Police arrested three local men, aged 20 to 27, on Monday night for suspected involvement in a theft case in the district.
The suspects were picked up at about 10.30 pm near Jalan Cressandra in an operation led by ASP Nicodemus Branking from the Miri Criminal Investigation Division.
A baseball bat, believed to have been used during the incident, was seized.
All three are now in police custody at Miri Central Police Station.
The case is being investigated under Sections 379 and 427 of the Penal Code for theft and mischief.
Police warned of taken against individuals involved in housebreaking and property crimes, and urged the public to report suspicious activities immediately.
