KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) today announced the appointment of former Defence Ministry Under-Secretary (Procurement), Mohd Abiddin Abdul Rahman, as its new Chief Commissioner.
The agency, in a statement, said Mohd Abiddin’s appointment took effect last November 3. He replaced Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed, who has been appointed as Senior Division Secretary at the Ministry of Communications.
Mohd Abiddin, from Sandakan, Sabah, is a graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and also holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
“He has over 25 years of experience in the public service, with expertise in various fields, including management and procurement,” read the statement.
APM also expresses its appreciation and gratitude to Aminurrahim for his leadership and contributions throughout his tenure with the agency. – BERNAMA
