KUCHING: RHB Bank has officially opened its newly renovated Premier Centre branch at Jalan Kulas, Satok, here today (Nov 12).

Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Mayor Datuk Hilmy Othman said RHB’s decision to renovate and re-fit the branch is not only a testament to the bank’s confidence in this city’s continued development but also a reflection of the community’s growing financial sophistication.

“I am confident that this new facility will bring significant benefits to both existing and potential customers, while also complementing the government’s efforts to enhance financial literacy and inclusion among Malaysians.

“As our city continues to modernise under Kuching Smart City and Sustainable Urban Development initiatives, partnerships between the public and private sectors become increasingly vital with the presence of strong and forward-looking financial institutions such as RHB.

“Together, we can build a more resilient and prosperous economy for the people of Kuching,” he said during the branch’s opening ceremony.

He added that through strategic financial services, RHB Bank can support entrepreneurs, SMEs, and local investors, empowering them to contribute to job creation, innovation, and community prosperity.

“DBKU values such partnerships and looks forward to continued collaboration with RHB and other corporate partners in initiatives that benefit our people and city.

“As a Mayor of Kuching City North, I would like to take this opportunity to thank RHB Bank for its continuous contribution to the economic and social development of our community.

“May this Premier Centre serve not only as a financial hub but also as a symbol of trust, innovation, and partnership between the banking sector and the people of Kuching,” he added.
