KAPIT: A driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries following a car crash along Jalan Airport, Kampung Baru 1 Malaysia early this morning.
The accident happened at around 2:05 am when a Toyota Fortuner vehicle carrying the victims skidded out of control and crashed to the roadside.
The impact left one of them trapped in the vehicle while the other victim had already been taken to Kapit Hospital by members of the public before first responders arrived.
Firefighters from Kapit station were dispatched to the scene, about 3 kilometres away, following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, the team confirmed the accident and extricated the trapped victim before handing him over to paramedics for further treatment.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 2:50 am.
