SIBU: The 2025 WTK Corporate Picklers Championship wrapped up recently with the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) lifting the overall title after a gripping final.
AADK edged out tournament hosts WTK Group, who settled for second place, while Sarawak State Education Department (Sibu) finished third.
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (Kastam) secured fourth spot after a strong campaign.
The final saw AADK edge WTK in three hard-fought matches, winning 3–0 with scores of 19–21, 21–17, 21–13 in the men’s doubles, 21–19, 17–21, 21–14 in mixed doubles 1, and a tight 21–16, 15–21, 21–20 in mixed doubles 2 to secure the title.
This year’s tournament featured 16 participating teams, one of the largest fields to date, comprising UOB, Ambank, Kastam A, B and C, Khid Teck Hong, OCBC Bank, WTK Teams 1, 2 and 3, SJC, Hong Leong Bank, RHB Bank, JPNS and JTH Group.
Teams battled through both group stages and knockout rounds, producing several nail-biting contests that highlighted the growing competitive spirit within Sarawak’s corporate pickleball scene.
