BAU: A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Kampung Stenggang, Jalan Pan Borneo Lundu-Bau this morning.
The accident, involving a motorcycle and a Perodua Bezza, happened at around 5 am, leaving the rider pinned under the car.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene, about 19km away, following a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team used air lifting bags to raise the vehicle and pull the victim from beneath the vehicle.
The victim, identified as Estee Tapha Telen, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His remains were handed over to police for further action.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the operation concluded at 6.21 am.
