SIBU: A total of 59 orphans under the care of Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (Peryatim) at Kemuyang here received donations in the form of complete sets of school uniforms and shoes through the compassionate initiative of Kim Hock Supermarket Sibu Jaya, together with several volunteers recently.

The welfare programme was also assisted by a Peryatim volunteer, Mohd Noor Zaki, who played a key role as a liaison person in coordinating donor outreach and managing the distribution of contributions to meet the needs of the orphans at the complex.

According to the Peryatim manager, Najilanisa Suhaili, this marked the first time they received charitable contribution from Kim Hock Supermarket Sibu Jaya, describing it as a meaningful and noble effort, especially as the new school term approaches.

“Of the 59 recipients, 36 were boys and 23 were girls, ranging in age from seven to 17 years old,” she said.

Najilanisa also expressed her deepest appreciation to all parties involved.

“We are truly grateful and touched by the assistance provided. This contribution greatly helps our children. We hope more individuals and organisations will come forward in the future to support the welfare of orphans.

“I also hope that such collaborations would continue in the future to ensure that the welfare and educational needs of the orphans remain well taken care of,” she added.
