ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (UAE): Delegations from Russia and Ukraine engaged in direct discussions during the two-day negotiations in Abu Dhabi, the UAE government said on Saturday (Jan 24), reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“The discussions were conducted in a constructive and positive atmosphere and included direct engagement between Russian and Ukrainian representatives on outstanding elements of the US-proposed peace framework, as well as confidence-building measures aimed at supporting progress towards a comprehensive agreement,” a government spokesperson said.
The UAE highly appreciates the efforts of US President, Donald Trump, to facilitate the negotiations on Ukraine, the spokesperson added.
