KUCHING: Normah Medical Specialist Centre (NMSC) will be organising a free Public Health Forum focusing on early childhood development, featuring two expert-led sessions aimed at parents, caregivers and members of the public interested in child growth and wellbeing.

Scheduled for Saturday (Jan 31) the forum will be held from 11 am to 1 pm at the Level 4 Auditorium.

The first session, ‘Persekitaran Kondusif Untuk Pertumbuhan Kanak-Kanak’, forms the fourth and final part of the ‘First 1,000 Days’ series.

It will be delivered by consultant paediatrician Dr Tan Jiunn Liang, who will discuss the importance of a supportive environment during a child’s critical early developmental period.

The second session, ‘Nurturing Baby’s Milestones’, will be presented by chief physiotherapist Caroline Petra Adriaanse, focusing on practical approaches to supporting infants’ physical and developmental milestones.

Admission to the forum is free, with light refreshments and complimentary basic health screening, including blood pressure and random glucose checks, provided for participants.

As seats are limited, advance registration is required and those interested may register by scanning the QR code provided on the event poster.

The forum is part of NMSC’s ongoing efforts to promote public awareness and education on preventive healthcare and child development.
