LUBOK ANTU: The men’s and women’s regu (doubles) events set the early pace for the Sarawak Games (SUKSAR) 2026 sepak takraw competition as group-stage matches got underway today (Feb 4) at the Lubok Antu Sports Complex.
In the men’s regu Group A, Central Zone A edged West Zone B 2–1 after a closely fought encounter. North Zone B also made a strong start with straight-sets 2–0 victory over South Zone B.
Meanwhile, in men’s regu Group B, South Zone A opened their campaign with a convincing 2–0 win over Central Zone B. West Zone A also secured a straight-sets victory against North Zone A, claiming the match 2–0.
In the women’s regu events, Group A saw West Zone B registering a 2–0 win over North Zone B. In women’s regu Group B, West Zone A made an emphatic start to their campaign by defeating North Zone A 2–0.
Group-stage matches will continue from Feb 4 until Feb 8 as zonal teams battle for places in the knockout rounds of the sepak takraw competition at SUKSAR 2026.
