MIRI: Sarawak Minister for Transport, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, will host two separate Chinese New Year open house events this festive season, underscoring his continued engagement with the community.

The first open house will be held on Wednesday, February 18, at the Dato Permaisuri Hall in Permyjaya.

Members of the public are invited to attend the daytime event from 9 am to 3 pm.

A second gathering will follow three days later, on Saturday, February 21, at Riam Road Secondary School. The evening event will run from 3 pm to 9 pm.

The dual celebrations reflect Lee’s outreach approach, allowing him to connect with a wider cross-section of the community while sharing in the festive spirit of Chinese New Year.

The open house events are expected to draw residents from across Miri and surrounding areas, offering an opportunity for constituents to meet the minister in an informal setting.

Lee, who is also the Senadin state assemblyman, has consistently used festive open house events as a platform to strengthen ties with the public and promote inclusivity during major celebrations.
