LIMBANG: A 24-year-old security guard was killed in a self-accident along Jalan Kampung Bakol here at about 6 pm on yesterday (Tues, Feb 17).

The victim, who was from Kampung Lubuk Tuan, was believed to be on his way to work when the incident occurred.

Limbang District Police chief, Supt Parum Niot, said preliminary investigations found that the accident did not involve any other vehicles.

“The victim, who was driving from Limbang town towards Medamit, is believed to have lost control before the vehicle veered off its original path,” he said in a statement.

Firefighters and members of the public gather at the scene.

The vehicle then struck a pipe at the roadside before ending up in a nearby bush area.

The impact caused severe injuries to the victim, particularly to the face and head.

Medical personnel who arrived at the scene later confirmed that the victim died at the location due to serious injuries.

The body was subsequently taken to the hospital for further action.

Police are continuing investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
