SARATOK: A man was nabbed by police for engaging in illegal gambling activities during Op Dadu in Kabong on Saturday (Feb 21).

According to Saratok district police chief DSP Mathew Manggie, a team from the Criminal Investigation Department arrested a 28-year-old man at a hut near Jalan Roban, Kabong.
“The team arrested the suspect who was allegedly involved in illegal gambling activities in Kabong.
“A smartphone and RM40 cash were seized,” he said in a statement yesterday (Feb 22).
During investigations, the man admitted to being an online gambling top-up agent operating around Sungai Pasir in Kabong.
Mathew added that the suspect works as a labourer and has two children, noting that he became a top-up agent to earn extra income.
The case is being investigated under Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
