Veteran actress Susan Lankester has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to loyal viewers of the hit series ‘Keluarga Iskandar’, which is now in its third season, following an outpouring of support after her character’s recent departure.

In a message shared on her Instagram Story, the actress — beloved for her portrayal of Kamariah Abdullah, fondly known as Kak Ngah — revealed she had been inundated with touching messages and words of encouragement after the iconic character was written out of the latest episode.

While many fans have made clear how much they miss seeing her on screen, Susan admitted she is not yet ready to return to the industry.

“I thought that after taking a year off, I would come back to our industry. But I’m not ready. I still need to rest and to seek more knowledge,” she wrote candidly.

She appealed to her supporters to understand her decision to extend her hiatus from acting, emphasising that it is a personal journey she needs to undertake at her own pace.

Despite stepping away from the spotlight for now, Susan reassured fans that her retirement is not permanent. She promised that she would make her return when the time feels right.

“Please allow me this time. I will come back when the moment is right,” she said.

Since the show’s first season, Kak Ngah has left a lasting impression on local audiences, thanks to Susan’s natural yet charismatic performance — a portrayal that has become one of the drama’s most cherished highlights.
